An easy hormone-happy start to going non-toxic

(Taken from the "Happy Hormones Handbook", link below)
Did you know that you could be unknowingly throwing your hormones out of kilter?
Men & women alike--we need our endocrine system to be functioning optimally, or our whole body gets affected!
There are many factors that affect our hormones... but what is a hidden primary offender? Many everyday products—from laundry detergent to lipstick—contain sneaky endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that mimic or block your natural hormones. These synthetic ingredients can mess with mood, sleep, fertility, and even women's menstrual cycles.
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to live in a bubble—just start switching (I like to call it "Ditching & Switching"!). Little by little, swap out harmful items for gentle, plant-based alternatives.
Harmful chemicals to ditch:
Synthetic fragrance (in candles, perfumes, air fresheners, body sprays & perfumes)
Phthalates (in plastics, skin care, and nail polish)
Parabens (in lotions, deodorants, make-up)
BPA/BPS (in plastic containers, water bottles, store receipts)
Triclosan (in toothpaste and antibacterial soaps)
SLS/SLES (in shampoo, body wash, dishsoap & handsoap)
Petroleum-based ingredients (in lip balms, creams, baby products)
Balancing your hormones doesn’t require perfection. It starts with small, intentional choices—such as switching to plant-powered products away from chemically-laden products.
If you're ready dive in deeper, there's even more you can do...
