Soak up your oils while on the move!

What better time to benefit from your oils than when driving! Let's face it, the vast majority of us spend a fair amount of time in our vehicles with the unavoidable busy-ness of life.

I've had a number of car diffusers over the years that I have benefitted from with all the driving I do going to Young Living events, saddle fittings, and visiting our big family. But with our freezing Canadian winters, I have to admit the water nebulizing element has been a real struggle.

ENTER: the new "Wanderful" waterless (& heatless) straight-diffusion portable diffusers! (Yep... these little diffusers are the BOMB--and BONUS: Young Living pure essential oils don't freeze so you can leave them in your car!)

So much more than just a pretty smell!

Did you know your sense of smell is a direct line to your well-being?

It's more than just detecting scents—it's a critical signaling system. This is especially true for women, who possess greater neural olfactory density than men, giving them an enhanced ability to perceive and process scents!

Science shows that your nose is constantly picking up tiny molecules that act as "signaling molecules." These signals bypass many parts of the brain and travel directly to the limbic system, which is the control center for: emotion, memory, and hormone release.

For example, research shows that certain compounds in male body odor can influence a woman's mood and hormone levels, demonstrating the profound biological impact of scent!

This is where essential oils (EOs) become a powerhouse. EOs are highly concentrated plant compounds with incredibly potent aromas. When inhaled, these potent aromatic molecules can:

Support your brain... the super easy way!

Did you know that research suggests that deterioration of olfaction (sense of smell) precedes a decline in cognitive abilities?

Indeed, olfactory loss is associated with significant losses of brain matter (gray and white) in humans. Loss of smell can even predict the progression of mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's disease.

Knowing the correlation between olfaction and cognition, researchers set out to investigate whether exposure to essential oils can improve memory in older adults (aged 60-85). Participants in the study were provided a diffuser and seven essential oils (rose, orange, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, rosemary, and lavender). They diffused each oil in a rotation--changing the oil they diffused daily--for two hours as they slept. This process was continued for six months.

The researchers found that these aromatic molecules have privileged access to areas of the brain and pathways relevant to olfaction and memory, which may help normalize brain circuitry linked to memory.…

Time to assess what's in those cupboards & drawers?

With our skin being the largest organ of our body (and thus the window to all our internal organs, blood stream, brain), we need to be taking regular stock of all the personal care product & cleaners that we use from one day to the next. Thanks to Gary's uncompromising vision for making everything coming from Young Living completely plant-based and toxin-free, the guesswork's been taken out for what we can safely switch to.

More on that in my Essential Oils Hub here:
