DIY baby wipes question

Hello! I checked out the DIY recipe for homemade baby wipes, and it left me with the same question as with the other similar recipes I've seen out there...according to my math, they're still more expensive than water wipes. We buy the Water Wipes 9-pk from Amazon and it comes out to $0.05 per wipe. The ingredients are 99.9% water, and a drop of fruit extract. ...I know nothing about fruit extract; is it really that bad to warrant making your own wipes??? I actually kind of liked the idea of making my own wipes, and did try a recipe from Wellness Mama, but it wasn't cost effective and a lot of work besides. Just wanted to make this post to make sure I'm not missing something, as I keep seeing this DIY recipe for homemade wipes popping up everywhere.

A very good question, Karen! For me, it boils down to "is the product I'm using beneficial/healing to my body?" One can certainly save money and go with predominantly water-based wipes, but why not include therapeutic (medicinal) and anti-bacterial value to them while you're at it? Especially when it comes to using with baby bottoms, who can use the support that the healing & cleansing essential oils can give them... and that has much value in and of itself.

With wipes that have fruit extract in them, one does not know anything about the way the fruit extract is sourced or made... and really, what benefit does that have in the therapeutic sense? To me it sounds like a marketing strategy to make people feel better about their purchase rather than actually having actual targeted benefit.

Of course, keep in mind as well, that any Hack or recipe I share with my team is always utilizing Young Living's top quality oils that have been proven to be therapeutic-grade and of the highest quality & efficacy possible. Hope that helps!
